Public-Funding Campaign

Playing more like an amazing young genius than ever, Mario is now past 90 years old. And while the fact of his age makes his performance all the more remarkable, it is a concern to him that his lifetime of research and achievement could be lost to posterity, unless a video record of his work is undertaken right away.

This comprehensive video library will enable students, teachers and aficionados of music, the world over, to see Mario demonstrate and describe the extraordinary skills and insights that comprise his piano mastery.

Further, the broad release of these musical treasures will provide sustenance to this great artist as he advances in years.

Public Funding Platforms

A major new development that we are now pursuing is the emergence of Internet funding platforms for creative projects. Everything from films, games, and music to art, design, and technology, can now be funded by donations from the general public.

Kickstarter.com is one of these platforms. Another is Indiegogo.com. You can easily learn how this works by visiting these sites.

A major key to successful funding from these sources is to make a compelling video presentation and, with Mario's Legacy Project, we have a subject that is extraordinary in terms of its value and appeal.

This is how we will vastly accelerate and expand our ability to achieve the goals of this Legacy Project.

The Public Funding Plan

The next $15,000 that is raised as part of this Legacy project will be used to:

1. Begin the professional video recording of Mario, at the piano, speaking about and demonstrating what he knows about music and piano technique.

Included in this will be the rental of a better piano for Mario's home, one that is more suitable for the quality of recordings we will produce.

2. At the same time we will record interviews with celebrities in the music industry who are friends and fans of Mario.

3. With this initial video material, we will create a beautiful "Kickstarter" fundraising video for the Legacy project. This Kickstarter campaign will be done in stages. We won't attempt to fund the entire Legacy Project at once.

Non-Profit, Tax Deductible

This year-long, professional video project is under the fiscal sponsorship of the Foundation for Advancements in Science & Education (FASE), a Nonprofit Corporation with offices in Pasadena, California.

It is FASE’s desire to assist in the preservation of these unique artistic teachings and it is consistent with their mission in the area of education.
